Deadline for submitting names to the Call Committee. Every name submitted will be given to the Synod Office and they will contact every pastor whose name they receive from us. Since it will take 2 or 3 weeks for the potential candidates to respond, we must set a deadline so we can proceed. If you wish a potential pastor of St. Thomas to be considered, remember to give that name to the Call Committee. PLEASE, DO NOT contact that pastor directly - let the Synod Office do that.

In the Adult Forum, Lyman Hitchcock will be presenting information about, and many pictures of, our second companion synod the Huria Kristen Batak Protestant (HKBP) of Sumatra, Indonesia. This 3,000,000 million member, multi-faceted church has deveoped an amazing set of ministries and activities in the 140 years of its existence. The recent visit to the HKBP by the Bishop and member of the Indiana-Kentucky Synod afforded an unique opportunity to see this Church in depth — its organization, the headquarters staff, its hospitals, orhanages, handicapped ministries, deaconess school, Bible women school, theological seminary, university and churches. The HKBP and the surrounding Toba Batak culture will be presented in adult forums on March 16th and 23th.

A reception sponsored by the Junior and Senior High Youth Group will follow the one-hour concert. Concert tickets may be picked up in the narthex on Sundays, March 16th and 23rd. There is no cost for the tickets, but a free-will offering will be taken to cover the costs of hiring musicians. We are happy to accept advance donations in support of this concert.

This year's forum is titled To Be a Blessing: Jews and Christians Choosing the Way of Life. The fee is $40 and registration deadline is March 17.

The Twenty-second Jewish/Christian Forum will be held at Christian Theological Seminary, convened by Jewish Community Relations Council and Christian Theological Seminary. This year's forum is titled To Be a Blessing: Jews and Christians Choosing the Way of Life. The fee is $40 and registration deadline is March 17.

"Festal Liturgies in Bach's Leipzig: Problems of Reconstruction", a Lecture and Vespers Reconstruction with Mary Frandsen (University of Notre Dame) and Robert Gehrenbeck (Indiana University) will be presented by the Bloomington Chapter of the American Guild of Organists from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. A lecture will be followed by reconstruction of a Vespers Service from St Thomas, Leipzig from the time of J. S. Bach. A student choir is singing Bach's cantata "Christ Lag in Todesbanden". Dr. Chris Young, Dr. Larry Smith and Dr. John Schwandt will be playing the organ. The reconstructed service will begin about 7:45 p.m.

Sunday School Classes begin with Opening Music for grades 1 to 6 in Heritage Hall at 9:45 and continue in the classrooms at 10:00. This year's curriculum is Witness from Augsburg-Fortress. Younger children (preschool through kindergarten) will meet in Rooms 8 and 9 for their Godly Play curriculum. Look for signs in the narthex to direct you to the appropriate classroom.

Reexamining the Biblical Evidence on Same-Sex Relationships — This forum (in Room 16) will introduce the subject. The book The Children are Free: Reexamining the Biblical Evidence on Same-Sex Relations by Reverend Jeff Miner and John Tyler Connoley will be offered for people to take home and read, with follow-up forums to discuss the book's contents on April 27th and May 4th. Kathleen Boggess is presenter.

Murat Yilmaz, one of the members of the Bloomington Muslim Dialog Group Executive Committee, will present a talk on "Islam and Tolerance" at 9:30 a.m. in the Unitarian Universalist Church of Bloomington. The talk is a part of the Faiths in Action Forum by the UUC, and will be held in the UUC library. Murat graduated from the School of Divinity at Konya Selcuk University in Turkey. He moved to the United States two years ago to pursue his graduate studies in the Department of Middle Eastern & Islamic Studies at IU. He also wrote for a Turkish quarterly in related topics.

IU Student lunch following 11:00 a.m. service

The Adult and Children's Choirs of St. Thomas will be be performing a special concert of sacred music on Sunday, March 30, at 4:00 p.m. featuring the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré for choir and orchestra. A reception sponsored by the Junior and Senior High Youth Group will follow the one-hour concert. Concert tickets may be picked up in the narthex on Sundays, March 16th and 23rd. There is no cost for the tickets, but a free-will offering will be taken to cover the costs of hiring musicians. We are happy to accept advance donations in support of this concert.

Homeward Bound, Indiana's 5K walk to fight homelessness at Third Street Park in downtown Bloomington. Registration, food and entertainment from noon - 2:00 p.m. — walk starts at 2:00 p.m. The proceeds benefit area homeless and affordable housing programs, including Amethyst House, Center for Behavioral Health, Indiana Legal Services, Inc., Mental Health Association of Monroe County, Middle Way House, Salvation Army Bloomington Corps, Shalom Community Center, Shelter, Inc., and South Central Community Action Agency.

Youth Group will attend the Choir Concert at 4 p.m. and provide the Reception. Pizza Party afterwards for youth who participate.
