The second Christian Women's Conference Triumphs and Transitions will be held May 2 to 4 at Valparaiso University. The fee is $95. The keynote speaker is Bishop April Ulring Larson of the LaCrosse Area Synod. Choose between 16 workshops concerning family, faith, walking the word, and personal growth. Walt Wangerin provides closing worship before dinner and entertainment to conclude the conference.

Sunday School Classes begin with Opening Music for grades 1 to 6 in Heritage Hall at 9:45 and continue in the classrooms at 10:00. This year's curriculum is Witness from Augsburg-Fortress. Younger children (preschool through kindergarten) will meet in Rooms 8 and 9 for their Godly Play curriculum. Look for signs in the narthex to direct you to the appropriate classroom.

Reexamining the Biblical Evidence on Same-Sex Relationships — This forum (in Rooms 15 and 17) will introduce the subject. The book The Children are Free: Reexamining the Biblical Evidence on Same-Sex Relations by Reverend Jeff Miner and John Tyler Connoley will be offered for people to take home and read, with follow-up forums to discuss the book's contents in April and May. This will be the final Adult Forum until the fall.

Retired's Group will travel to White River Gardens, leaving the church parking lot at 9:00 a.m. Bring your camera. The main attractions will be walking among the the fascinating butterflies and enjoying the beautiful flowers. Admission will be less than $5 per person, actual cost depending on how many go. commemorate his life and the message he brought.
The Coffee Hour Program will be as follows:

· "Prophet Muhammad’s Message to Humanity," a talk by Salih Yucel,
Muslim Chaplain at Brigham Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA.

The Bloomington Muslim Dialog Group continues its coffee hours this Friday. This week's guest speaker is
a friend from Lutheran Campus Ministry, Pastor Halverson. Pastor Kyle
Wiersma Halverson from Lutheran Campus Ministry is originally from
Minnesota. He holds an MA degree in Hebrew Bible from Yale Divinity
School, a Masters of Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul,
Minnesota, and has begun doctoral work in theology at Lutheran School
of Theology in Chicago. He and his wife Jan moved from Chicago to
Indiana in 2000. The title of his talk will be "Fundamentalism,
Pluralism, and Dialogue: An Ethics of Hospitality."
The BMDG Bi-weekly Coffee Hour with guest Pastor Kyle Wiersma Halverson speaking
on Fundamentalism, Pluralism, and Dialogue: An Ethics of
Hospitality will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2003 in the Fountain Park Apartments Community Room (The second floor in the Office Building), 3209 E 10th St, Bloomington, IN 47408. Tea and refreshments will follow the talk.
