St. Thomas Men are invited to attend weekly Bible Study and Fellowship from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in Rooms 12 and 13.
St. Thomas will host a health screening for interested community members from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Heritage Hall. Life Line Screening will scan the carotid artery for plaque buildup, which can lead to stroke (75% of all strokes are linked to carotid artery blockage) and the arteries in the legs for peripheral arterial disease. They also offer a third test for aneurysm in the aortic vessel in the abdomen. Life Line will also offer on that day a bone density screening for men and women to test for osteoporosis. This is a prevention program and, with early detection, these problems can be treated. The results are sent directly to you and referred to your own doctor. The tests, which are non-invasive, completely painless and take about ten minutes each, are offered for $45 apiece. Pre-registration is required — call (800) 407-4557 for an appointment or more information.
