The Indiana-Kentucky Synod will host one of the LWF Post-Assembly Visitations — Mission in the Midwest. Enjoy a bus tour with international guests through the heartland of America. Passengers will connect with three mission-focused ministries in the Indiana-Kentucky Synod: "Renewing Congregation" of St. Peter Lutheran Church near Milton, Kentucky, which has tripled in size following a period of redevelopment, Lutherans for Habitat for Humanity in Evansville, Indiana, and the Wernle Children's Home in Indiana, home for young men 8-18 who have been separated from their families by court order, and an Indiana ministry focused on the migrant work population. The tour begins and ends in Valparaiso IN, costs $220 and is open to 50 participants. Registration information is available at (800) 638-3522x2650 or on the DGM website.

Donors must be in overall good health, weigh over 110 pounds, be at least 17 years old, and may not have given blood in the last 56 days.

Justice Inc. president Kathy Sarris and lobbyist Mark St. John will speak at a fund-raising dinner to support the work of Indiana Equality. The event takes place in the Grand Hall at First United Methodist Church from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Middle Way Food Works will cater the food, including a vegetarian option. Tickets are $10, available in advance or at the door.
Indiana Equality is a coalition of groups that seeks to add "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" to the list of protected categories in Indiana's civil-rights code.
