BMDG Coffee Hour at 1:00 p.m. in the President's Room of University Club in Indiana Memorial Union. The title of this coffee hour will be "Jesus in Islam" and Zeki Saritoprak will be our guest speaker.
Zeki Saritoprak, holds a PhD in Islamic Theology from the University of Marmara, Turkey. He earned his Master's degree in Islamic Theology and Philosophy, and his Bachelor's in Divinity from the same university. He also attended Al-Azhar University in Cairo for several years for Arabic language studies while researching for his dissertation.
He is the Founder and President of Rumi Forum for Interfaith Dialogue in Washington. Currently, he is a Visiting Assistant Professor in Religious Studies at John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio.
The subjects on which he has taught have included the Science of Kalam, Sufism, the Qur'an and Hadith, Islamic Sects, contemporary Islamic movements, and Islam in America. Dr. Saritoprak is the author of several books and articles on Islamic Studies in Turkish, Arabic, and English.

At 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary, the Sunday School Children will present their Christmas ministry to you in word and song.
The program is entitled "Let us Go, Oh Shepherds". The setting is Christmas Eve, 1701 in southern New Mexico. Manuel, a shepherd boy, has lost a lamb belonging to Señor Porfiado. Manuel goes off to look for the lamb, encountering several other people on his search. In the end, he finds the true Lamb of God.
As the program has a Latin American theme, members of Sister Parish are offering their Guatemalan clothing for the children to wear for the program.

The Trinity Episcopal Church choirs will present a special service of Advent Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 14, at 4:00 p.m. The service will include readings, traditional carols, anthems, and solos sung by members of the choir. The music will include beautiful anthems by Steven Rickards, Boris Ord, and Morten Lauridsen, and a movement from the Christmas Oratorio of Bach will be sung by IU School of Music faculty member Mary Ann Hart. More than 450 college-age students will focus their activities on the Rev. Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech, which marked its 40th anniversary this year.

New Year's Eve (Liturgical Color: White)
Men's Fellowship will have no evening meetings until January 7, but they invite all men to meet for breakfast on December 24 and December 31 at 6:30 a.m. at Denny's, N. Walnut & the Bypass. Weekly Bible reading and fellowship resumes Jan. 7 - Wednesday nights, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in Room 12/13. We focus on deepening relationships and spiritual growth.
