Qeq'chi is one of 23 Mayan languages spoken in Guatemala and the language of our friends in Chichipate, home of St. Thomas' Sister Parish community. Indrek Park, a linguistics scholar at IU, began learning Qeq'chi as a delegate to Guatemala in January 2003. He will offer classes in Qeq'chi for all who are interested in traveling to Guatemala with the next delegation this November — or any who are just interested! The third class is at 7:00 p.m. at Rose House.
