There's a Place At The Table for you. The Wednesday Lunch Group meets for devotions, prayer and study of next Sunday's scriptures at noon in Room 3 for one hour. Bring a brown bag lunch.

St. Thomas Men are invited to attend weekly Bible Study and Fellowship from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Rooms 12 and 13.

Worship from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m.

Join us for a Weekly Worship on Wednesday Evenings (W3) Invite a friend or neighbor to come to St. Thomas for worship and fellowship, a quiet time during our hectic lives.

Gathering music will begin at 7:15. We'll learn some new music and share the old familiar hymns. Child care will be provided. Join us for this exciting new ministry.

"World War II — A Time for Heroes" at 7:00 p.m. at Buskirk-Chumley Theatre

This video project by students at Batchelor Middle School includes interview clips with around 50 local World War II veterans and Holocaust survivors. Among the veterans interviewed is our own Lester Dorman. The video will be submitted to the National Archives.

Tickets are $5.00 at the door or contact Susan Krieg.

A note from Pr. Bill Gafkjen, Assistant to the Bishop for Global Mission: The Lutheran World Federation's "Lutheran-Muslim Dialogue on Conflict and Peace" is coming to Indianapolis. This team, which is dedicated to exploring the role of religion in conflicts and the role of interfaith relationships in building peace, has been traversing the world to carry on this important conversation.

On June 17th, these Lutheran and Muslim theologians and leaders from Brazil, Denmark, Indonesia, and the United States, will gather in Indianapolis to provide a panel discussion and to engage questions and comments from members of the Indiana-Kentucky Synod.

All rostered leaders and members of I-K Synod congregations and others who are interested are invited to be a part of this unique experience on Friday June 17, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 6118 Crawfordsville Road, Indianapolis IN 46224 (phone: 317-243-6684).

Eyewitness to the U.S. Occupation of Iraq: Rick McDowell from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Higgins Hall in the St. Paul Catholic Center

Rick McDowell is a Senior Fellow for Iraq Policy at the Friends Committee on National Legislation. He and his wife lived in Iraq, outside the Green Zone, for much of the past two years. Focusing his talk toward congregations and faith communities, Rick McDowell will speak about his experiences in Iraq, the human cost of war, and the need to end the U.S. military occupation of Iraq.

National HIV/AIDS Day of Compassion and HIV testing.

Bloomington Hospital Positive Link volunteers will tie red ribbons in public areas in six counties to focus attention on HIV/AIDS. Every year, more than 10 times the number of people die from HIV/AIDS than did in the South Asian Tsunami disaster. Positive Link encourages people to be tested during their extended testing hours on June 25 at their location at 333 E. Miller Drive. The test is free, anonymous and confidential and results are received in 20 minutes.

American Cancer Society's Relay for Life will be held on June 25 from 4 - 10 p.m. at the YMCA. Jonathan Williams is a team captain this year and will be in the narthex after each service accepting donations for his team.

Jane and Bob Warner invite St. Thomas members and friends (of all ages) to The Retired Group outing on Saturday, June 25th, which will be a celebration of Jane and Bob's 50th Wedding Anniversary. Their friends, who along with Bob, were members of the Oak Park Community Theatre, will perform a special musical skit. The party begins at 6:00 p.m. in Heritage Hall. Dessert will be served following the performance.
