World Community Day

The women of Poland challenged us to "Let Our Light Shine" at World Day of Prayer in March, and the Celebrations Committee calls us to be "A Light to the Nations" in November. This service invites us to take a closer look at Media/Technology and to determine how we can help the media to present positive truthful images. Marilyn Lativiere, Rev. Paula Payne, and Rev. Pamela Cole developed the service as an opportunity for us to look within ourselves and to examine the ways that we can be a clear glass reflecting the light of Christ to the world.

Come, bring a friend, and celebrate World Community Day with Church Women United at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, beginning at noon with Bible Study, followed by Worship at 1:00 p.m.

The offering supports women's ecumenical program priorities to strengthen families worldwide in the 21st Century.
