The 22nd Moravian Music Festival at Capital University and Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio. This will be the first Festival held in Ohio since 1961. Dr. John V. Sinclair has accepted the invitation to return as Festival Conductor. David Blum, choir director at Church of the Redeemer Moravian Church in Dublin, Ohio (and MMF board member!) will be gathering and chairing the Festival committee.

Pilgrims (Grades 1-3) at Lutheran Hills

A great first camp experience for those entering grades 1-3. A shortened week allows four busy days of general camp activities geared towards a young age group. Enrollment is limited in order to keep living groups small and allow for extra individual attention. Activities: arts and crafts, singing, Bible study, games, swimming. $150.

A week geared for young teens entering grades 7-9, involving more advanced activities and more individual choice than for younger campers. Activities included: Bible study, canoe/hiking trips, swimming, a cookout/campout, campfire programs, and special evening activities. $240.

Senior High Servant Camp at Lutheran Hills

A Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon camp week that includes familiar camp activities with a "servant" theme. High school campers will assist with Habitat-For-Humanity type Humanity service projects in the Lutheran Hills area and with general on-site camp property projects. Participants must be entering grades 10-12. $240.

I-K Synod Outdoor Ministries offers the Leadership Training School for young, emerging Christian leaders at Camp Lutherwald.

I-K Synod pastors and youth ministry leaders will introduce youth to the principles of Christian leadership through workshops, special speakers, and the small group experience.

Registration is limited to those high school students who are recommended by their pastors and sponsored by their congregations.

We welcome the new Lutheran Campus Ministers, Rev. Kelli Skram and Mr. Jeff Schacht, to Bloomington and St. Thomas today. They will be introduced and worship with us at 8:30 and will also be introduced at the 10:15 service. Jeff and Kelli have two children, Natalie, age 3 and Matthew, age 18 months.

Community Kitchen and Bloomington Playwrights Project unite to fight Hunger: The annual Acting Against Hunger benefit will take place July 16 at 107 W. 9th Street. The event includes a wine and cheese reception from 6-6:30 pm, a nutritious dinner of various types of beans and rice from 6:30-7:15 pm, and performances of short plays and readings concerning homelessness and hunger beginning at 7:30 pm. Cost is $30 for one person, $55 for two, $75 for three and $90 for four people. Call the BPP at 334-1188 to make a reservation.

Performing Arts Camp (Grades 4-9) at Lutheran Hills

A special week offered at Lutheran Hills. Performing Arts Camp is for youth who love singing and performing. Campers spend 4-5 hours each day working on a high energy Christian musical. Guitar Camp (Grades 6-9) at Lutheran Hills

A week for beginning guitarists who want to learn to play their favorite camp songs, refine guitar skills, or simply want to learn playing the guitar for the first time. Along with the usual great camp activities, participants spend three hours daily in class. Luke Simpson, professional musician, will lead the program and be assisted by other guitar-playing summer staff. Participants will take home a personal copy of the camp songbook, give a guitar concert at a local nursing home, and play a concert for family members prior to Friday afternoon pickup on July 28th. (This same program is also offered at Lake Luther, June 12-17). $240.
