Stained Glass Exhibit: Bloomfield-based artist Charlotte Paul will have works featured in a new exhibit in Bloomington at the Waldron Arts Gallery, 122 S. Walnut Street, beginning September 1, until October 1, 2010. Ms. Paul has created works for the University of Wisconsin, and has exhibited her works in venues across the country, including New York City. In 1998, she created the stained glass windows for the nave here at St. Thomas. Other examples of her work in Bloomington include the Bloomington Hospital chapel and the Community Mental Health Center. Bach Cantata today at 3:00pm: The Bloomington Bach Cantata Project presents J. S. Bach's cantata 138, "Warum betrübst du dich, mein Herz ?" ("Why are you troubled, my heart?") today at 3:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 205 E. Kirkwood Avenue. This is the first of a series of cantata performances scheduled for the upcoming year in Bloomington; next will be October 17 at 3:00 p.m. here at St. Thomas. Cantata 138 was first performed in September, 1723 and is scored for four soloists, two oboes, violins, violas, and continuo instruments. Come out and support this exciting new venture presented by students and faculty from the Early Music Institute at Indiana University! The event is free and open to the public.

Youth Support Group meeting following the late service.

Youth Group will be having their first event Sunday evening September 26th, 5:30pm-7:30pm. This first one will be to get to know each other and start thinking about some things we'd like to do this year. Come by for some fun and help plan your youth group! Parents as always you are welcome to come too. After this kickoff event most youth group events on Sunday nights will be on the first and third Sunday of each month, at the same time though.
