The prelude and postlude at both worship services come from the creative mind of American composer Craig Phillips (b. 1961). Phillips earned his Doctor of Music at the Eastman School of Music and has served for more than 20 years at All Saints Episcopal Church, Beverly Hills, CA where he is currently Director of Music. As a composer, Phillips is widely publishec and has received numerous commissions, including new works for conventions of the American Guild of Organists. The two works played today are only a fraction of his output for the organ — first, a quiet setting of the hymn tune Kremser, and second, a lively and energetic trumpet tune.

Presentation by Pr. Lyle on aspects of his sabbatical following the 11:00 worship service on Sunday, October 3 and 17, in Heritage Hall. Bring a brown-bag lunch if you wish. Presentations will last about an hour.
