Many, many thanks to Helen Mayfield and JayDene Laros for organizing and putting on the Thank-You Breakfast for the Sunday School Teachers and Volunteers on May 23^rd. Also thanks to parent helpers: Jennifer Garl, Susan Goldsworthy, Susan Krieg, Darla Kuh, LeAnn Lipe, Debbie Moore, Laura Pate, Rita Pavolka, Vicki Polansky, Renee Rich-Harris, and Steve Wailes for bringing food, setting tables, etc.

Between our eight Sunday School teachers, there is 120 years of teaching experience — 76 of those years have been served at St. Thomas! Marilyn Harder has taught for 38 years here and Sharon Fawbush has taught 16 of 30 teaching years at St. Thomas! How fortunate we are to have such dedication!

Each teacher was presented with a carnation corsage/boutonniere and a marigold plant to represent the seeds (children) they have nurtured throughout the year that have bloomed with the teachings of God's love. Other gifts included:

Debbie Nixon — Dove Body Wash because her love for the kids can't be washed away

Sharon Fawbush — 'Extra' Gum for giving SCS kids 'extra' special attention; and a mirror, for reflecting God's love to our children

Rachel Stults — Mounds candy bar for making 'mounds' of difference with our SCS kids

Katrina Erickson — Band-Aid for coming to our aid when we needed more helpers with Godly Play

Cindy Ohslund — Hand lotion for always lending a helping hand

Mary Krupinski — Zest soap for adding 'zest' to our SCS program

Jonathan Williams — Rubber bands for being SO flexible!

Ronna Papesh — Light bulbs for all of her great ideas! and...

Marilyn Harder — tape for 'sticking' with us so long and Energizer batteries because she keeps 'going', and 'going', and 'going'!
